Three of Cambridge's planned travellers sites are set to be dropped.
The affected sites are in Cambourne, another in Cambridge between Madingley and Huntington road and a third site on Spring Lane in Bassingbourn. All three areas have been deemed unsuitable and proposals recommended to be scrapped.
Other proposed sites are still on the table as development bosses await new government guidance to finalise their decisions.
Sites close to Cambridge that are still up for decision are:
Sandy Park, Chesterton Fen Road – 28 pitches.
Plots 1, 3 & 5 Sandy Park, Chesterton Fen Road - 17 pitches.
Cambridge East – 20 pitches.
North-West Cambridge, land between Huntingdon Road and Histon Road – 10 pitches.
