You may remember a previous blog on the work that Celebrating Age do in Cambridge to bring social activities to the more experience folk of the community, and they have pulled out the stops again this week to get everyone together again!
Celebrating Age are hosting the World Folk Dance Event, bringing in the Autumn with the dusky, sometimes lively, and wholesome notes of the folk genre for you or someone you may know to enjoy. The project has a simple yet important aim, to promote the well-being and improve the quality of life for the older people in the community, and to help provide a social calendar, which is so important in keeping people’s minds enriched.
The festival will be held on the 13th October at 2.00pm at Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre in Cambridge, and whilst booking is essential (so get in quick!) the festival is free! So ignore the ambiguous weather and get you or yours to a mid week treat!
