Get ready to groove to the irresistible reggae beats and infectious melodies of the legendary ensemble, Cimarons! With a legacy spanning decades, Cimarons have been the heartbeat of the reggae scene, captivating audiences worldwide with their soul-stirring music and unwavering commitment to spreading love and positivity through their tunes.

Founded in London in 1967 by a group of passionate Jamaican musicians including guitarist Locksley Gitchie, bassist Franklyn Dunn, and lead singer Winston Reedy, Cimarons quickly rose to prominence as pioneers of the reggae movement and the first reggae band in UK and Europe.

"They were the spark that started the fire,", says General Levy.

Cimarons played with everyone, from Bob Marley to Paul McCartney. The rich and untold story of the band is getting to be discovered now due to the documentary "Harder Then The Rock", which had it's premiere in June 2024 at Sheffield Docs Fest.

Cimarons' illustrious journey includes collaboration with reggae icons such as Bob Marley, (who was grateful to the Cimarons as his forerunners in Europe, Asia, Africa and the UK), Jimmy Cliff, Lee "Scratch" Perry and other legends of the genre. Cimarons contributed to the evolution of reggae music, leaving an indelible mark on the genre.

Infusing their sound with elements of ska, rocksteady, and roots reggae, Cimarons created a distinctive and timeless sound that resonates across generations.

Today, the spirit of Cimarons lives on under the guidance of its band leaders: Locksley Gitchie and Franklyn Dunn. These seasoned musicians bring decades of experience, ensuring that the legacy of Cimarons continues to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of reggae music.

Adding to the band's dynamic lineup is new lead singer Michael Arkk, whose electrifying stage presence and soulful vocals have breathed new life into the Cimarons sound. With his powerful voice and magnetic charisma, Michael Arkk has seamlessly integrated into the band, infusing their performances with a renewed energy and vitality that captivates audiences wherever they go.

Cimarons have earned a reputation as one of the most dynamic and captivating live acts in the world of reggae music. With timeless hits like "Wake Up Jah Man", "On The Rock", "Reggae Rhapsody", and "Harder Then The Rock" Cimarons continue to inspire and uplift audiences with their infectious energy and unwavering commitment to spreading positive vibrations.
