I'm very excited that the Canterbury Festival is nearly upon us once more.
Canterbury's extremely popular and eclectic arts festival is running from 16th to 30th October 2010, giving us two weeks of music, theatre, arts and entertainment.
The line up this year is a fantastic selection of international acts and artists, with over two hundred events crammed into the festival fortnight. Theatre, dance, classical music, visual arts, walks and comedy all vie for audiences, which won't be disappointed.
At the festival's heart is the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral, providing a dramatic backdrop for many of the events. The 2010 programme is described as eclectic and "peppered with tributes to extraordinary individuals" offering "a great variety of quality performances and activities to suit all ages, tastes and budgets"
Full details of all Festival events and venues plus an online brochure can be found at www.canterburyfestival.co.uk. Tickets are available on the Festival website or from the Festival Box Office on 01227 787 787.
