Hot Topix is back for 2010, with the district's annual FREE youth conference taking place this year on Sunday 18th October, at AMF Bowling in Whitstable.
Open for 11 to 17 year olds, booking is currently open for the two sessions, with 60 places available for each one:
9.30am - 12.30pm
2pm - 5pm
A FREE coach is even being laid on from Canterbury for the afternoon session.
This from Canterbury City Council:

The conference is being held as part of Local Democracy Week and aims to celebrate the work that young people have been involved in throughout the year and listen to the views and ideas of young people.
It has been organised by a youth action group in partnership with the city council's children and youth team, with funding from the Youth Opportunities Fund and the two Local Children’s Service Partnerships.
Young people will be able to take part in workshops on local democracy and enjoy free bowling and refreshments.
For more details or to reserve a space at either session, contact Nicky Gould at the city council on 01227 862125 or email nicky.gould@canterbury.gov.uk, or visit www.notbored.net.
There is also a separate conference for young people with disabilities and special needs who feel the main event may not be suitable for them. This is run by the council in partnership with the Special Needs Advisory and Activities Project and takes place on Sunday 25 October. For more information, contact Carrie Wood at SNAAP on 01227 367555.
