Local businesses and organsations are being invited to complete a survey in a district-wide assessment of transport issues in Canterbury.

The Canterbury Partnership, a public and private organisation that aims to promote business and economic activity in the borough, has created a survey to gain a better understanding of local transport needs.

The survey is an opportunity for businesses to get involved in the district's transport strategy, and will provide invaluable baseline information to show how things change in the future.

Businesses will be able to demonstrate their overall spending on transport each year, any 'green' travel plans they have, their interest in possible solutions to transport problems, and any schemes like park and ride or car-pools.

The survey is available online - and the deadline is the end of November, so better get cracking.

It doesn't take long to complete, and there's also a prize draw to win two tickets to Wildwood.

Businesses completing the questionnaire can also request information in creating commuting surveys and advice on travel plans, which could help to save money and reduce their carbon footprints.
