The recent bitter weather caused havoc with many of the services we usually rely on, especially things like rubbish collections. Many of us haven't had normal service over the Christmas and New Year period, and several streets were unreachable for council lorries during the snow.
Canterbury Borough Council have issued the following update for services returning to normal:
Update - Thursday 21 January 2010
All collections of recyclable and landfill waste are now back on schedule following the snow earlier in January.
From Monday 25 January onwards, we will resume collections of garden waste, which were suspended during the bad weather. This will include the collection of real Christmas trees during week commencing 25 January.
Although frustrating, it's all about patience, so bear with collector's until they catch up.
