Every company has a legal responsibility to ensure all waste it produces is managed properly.
After reading an article recently about river pollution from industrial waste (elsewhere thankfully, he says with NIMBY irony), my thoughts turned to how our own local businesses fare in this department.
It can be a minefield navigating the latest legislation and guidelines, and also what services are available to your company locally.
In light of this, Canterbury City Council provide a series of leaflets - available online - which help to outline what you must do to comply with the law, and loads of other helpful information to encourage energy savings and waste management.
This information will not only help to reduce the impact of your business on the environment, but could help you to save energy and money as well.
