Half term holiday already? The Playstation is unplugged, DVDs are on ration, and come rain or shine, my lot are going to spend most of the week DOING something! Not that they complain (much) of course, but if I can combine that with their 4.5-A-Day I'll feel like I'm actually doing right by them. Then of course I'll need a week off to recover from dashing around all half term...
Canterbury City Council have laid on their popular sports courses during this summer half term holiday, offering "expert coaching and plenty of fun".
This from Canterbury City Council website:
A day of tennis coaching kicks off the week on Tuesday 1 June, taking place at St Anne’s tennis courts in Tankerton from 10am-2pm, costing £6.
Have fun and learn new skills at Whitstable Cricket Club’s two day camp, running on Tuesday 1 June and Wednesday 2 June for boys and girls aged 9-13 years old from 10am to 3pm each day. Cost to attend is £30.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust is offering two days of football, with coaching at Chartham Memorial Field on Wednesday 2 June, followed by Herne Bay Memorial Park on Thursday 3 June. Both days run from 10am to 3pm and cost £10 to attend.
Street Dance rounds off the week on Friday 4 June at Whitstable Umbrella Centre, where young people aged eight to 15 can learn new moves to the latest music. The day runs from 10am to 3pm and costs £7.
And throughout the week, there will be activities at the district’s leisure centres, while Aire Trampoline Club are running morning and afternoon courses for seven to 14 year olds at their Wincheap facility.
