Final Lions Test
3rd July 2009

Just a quick word on the final Lions test tomorrow.  despite all the controversy about eye gouging and brutal play how should the Lions feel about their series defeat?

For me they should leave South Africa with heads held high - they have more than competed and with more clinical finishing in the first test it could have been such a different story.

There is no doubt that South Africa target the injury of key players and not for the first time.  On previous tours taking out players early in a match such as Bryan O'Driscoll makes all the difference and if you take out specialist props well we saw where uncontested scrums damaged the Lions momentum.

So tomorrow.  When Lions are in a group it is a pride of Lions and I expect this group of players to play with pride and with a little bit of luckthey can sneak the game.

Sadly with just one Cardiff Blues player in Martyn Williams our local pride rests with the Welsh players rather than our local team but I am sure we are all pleased to see the inclusion of the Welsh boys. We must hope that they are not seriously injured before their well earned rest prior to the new season.

Let the Lions roar. My prediction 25 - 18 to the Lions - what's your score prediction?
