A busy couple of days lots of popping around. One impressive sight on Tuesday was I popped over to Costco at Leckwith which is very impressive and I am delighted that they have agreed to appear in our next two Little Blue Books which is our business guide of which we print 10,000 and circulate 9,000 directly to Cardiff businesses.
Costco and many of the other retailers on the new Capital Retail Park are going to really add something to Cardiff. But of course the item that really got my attention was the new Cardiff City Stadium which will also be the new home of the Blues. It is leaping up and already looks really impressive although I haven't as yet seen inside.
Later in the day I met up with our first ever 'best of' client - Wayne Allen of Allens Office Ltd Wayne has recently created a new company after the separation of the printing side of his family business and is concentrating on Office Stationery and Office Furniture. At their new home on the Cardiff Industrial Park I am confident they are going to be very successful. Go Wayne!
Yesterday, started the day early with the Cardiff 4 Networking event. These meetings are excellent and I recommend any business to come along and give it a try. For the investment of £10 each time for the first few occasions you can sample the experience without having to commit to becoming a member - and the passport aspect suits most businesses. I highly recommend it.
In the afternoon I met our friend Karen McGrath of Eventure UK - meeting someone at a coffee shop was a bit unusual for me these days and actually I really enjoyed it.
The key to that is because it was a great day to walk in - as parking in town is truly ridiculous and a completely stressful and expensive lottery! Just don't get me started...and Never mention the mess of confusion that is St Mary Street. I think it is more of a menace for pedestrians than it ever was before the changes....Ah!! As Basil Fawty would say "Don't mention the war..."
