It's almost October and the days are getting shorter, but there is still plenty going around Cardiff.
Firstly, it seems like October is a good month for sport as there are a good few big sporting events hitting Cardiff. Cardiff Family Fun Run and Cardiff Half Marathon are on the 5th and 6th October respectively. If you're entering either, hopefully both the training and the fundraising is going well.
October will also see Wales football team finish their World Cup Qualifying campaign, including playing Macedonia at the Cardiff City Stadium. Although we have no chance of qualifying it would be good to finish on a high.
On top of that, Premier Canoe Slalom comes to Cardiff International White Water so if you're a watersports fan, go and check that out. Also the Rugby League World Cup kicks off on the 26th October with Wales as joint hosts and matches taking place at the Millenium Stadium. Finally, our city's football and rugby teams will of course be in action so there is plenty going on. For more information on these events and more, check out our Sports Events.
What if sport is not your thing? Thankfully there is loads more going on throughout October. For all you music fans, the Swn festival is back from 17th-20th October and the World Music Expo is coming to Cardiff from 23rd October.
And who can forget that 31st October is Halloween? We'll keep on updating our site with Halloween events so have a look and keep checking back for all the spooky goings on around our city. Halloween Events in Cardiff.
As always, we are continually updating our events page so click on the local events tab at the top of the page whenever you want to know what's going on.
