Taking place on 22 December, The Centre will welcome the world’s most realistic lion, with an animatronic face, animated paws and life like body movements!
The model majestic lion will be entertaining visitors with three roarsome appearances scheduled at 12.30pm, 2pm, and 3.30pm.
This event is part of The Red Dragon Centre’s ‘Season of Joy’ which includes a suite of free, family-friendly festive events including the Jolly Book Bank, where families can donate and take a book home for free to continue the Christmas magic at no cost. The Book Bank will be running until 5 January 2025.
Not only this, The Centre will be one of the key landmarks in the Cardiff Bay Reindeer Trail, and is hosting a giant jolly Santa on site ready to pose for photos.
The Red Dragon Centre is home to a multitude of interactive, lifestyle and food and drink venues including Odeon Cinema, the home of Wales’ only IMAX screen, and the Hollywood Bowl which have been key Centre attractions since the beginning.
The Centre hosts a range of additional brands that make up an intrinsic part of the entertainment and dining experience, including Grosvenor Casino, Five Guys, Spice Route, Volcano, EasyThali, EveryTime, and Zaika.
The Centre is also the site of the Capital FM South Wales studio, which was formerly Red Dragon FM, as well as Heart FM. Today, you’ll find the likes of Josh and Kally broadcasting their Capital Drive Show live from there every weekday.
