Cardigan’s River and Food Festival is one of the most popular and largest in South West Wales during the Summer and this year is expected to attract record number of visitors. The festival is celebrated alongside the River Teifi in the Quay Street Car Park
on Saturday 6th August. Gates open at 10 am
The River will have its own attractions from Duck Race to the Powerboats. There is something for everyone including activities for Children so a wonderful Family Day Out.
As the title suggests the Festival celebrates all that is wonderful about food with many local producers showcasing their produce to both locals and visitors. The local produce is renowned in the area with many producers boasting the True Taste Awards such as Caws Cenarth whose cheese is celebrated in the Food Hall of Harrods among other prestigious outlets. You will be able to taste and buy:
• Cakes, buns and biscuits,
• Crab and other Shellfish.
• Wild boar and other unusual meats will be on offer.
You will be able to taste and buy:
• Preserves, chutneys, Jams and local honey.
• Many sweetmeats and chocolate will be available.
The temptations will be endless!! To wash it all down you will be able to try
• wines, beers and spirits from the likes of Penderyn Whisky and Penlon Beer from the award winning artisan brewery.
There will be cookery demonstrations from well known local chefs including Masterchef semi finalist Ludovic Dieumegard of Ludo’s at the Coopers who will be continuing the River Theme by preparing and showcasing a Fish Mousse with fish caught from the River Teifi!
