The Boathouse was home to Dylan Thomas during the last four years of his life, with fantastic views over the Taf estuary The Boathouse is a wonderful place to visit.
There is a tearoom at The Boathouse, providing somewhere for those walking the coastal path a place to take a break and try some of the locally sourced and home cooked food.
There is also a shop, toilet factilities, a furnished front parlour and an upstairs exhibition area where you can see a 24 minute film.
The writing shed above The Boathouse is where Dylan Thomas worked. The first poem he wrote there was 'Over Sir John's Hill' - the remarkable view from the shed is described in this poem and also inspired much more of his work.
