Roasts were quite small and no stuffing with the chicken, just a burned batter pudding. Asked for extra gravy and it came with lumps in, after I had finished eating. Good pudding!

Good location in the centre of town with friendly staff. Inside there is plenty of space and different seating areas. Only had a few drinks there, but it has a good atmosphere.

Came here for breakfast. They opened up for me even though I was early. Staff was very attentive and pleasant and enjoyed a full English breakfast and two hot chocolates for less than a tenner. And they did Heinz ketchup - what more could you ask for.

Food is quite expensive for what you get. Drinks are reasonably priced. Very dark and dingy for a lunchtime meal. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Much better places to eat in Chelsmford.

The room is basic but fine for an overnight stay. Good location in the centre of Chelmsford. Parking nearby which is cheap for an overnight stay (ÂŁ2.50). Would advise to bring own toiletries as none provided in room.
