The Mid Essex Primary Care Trust has been given a well received budget increase.
The Primary Care Trust has received a funding increase of over 3%, which although less of a rise than has been received in previous years, is still a much welcomed increase.
Under the Government, the NHS is a protected fund and the increase takes the Mid Essex PCT budget to £519.6 million, an increase of £15.9 million from last year.
Simon Burns, Chelmsford MP and Health Minister said 'This demonstrates the Government's commitment to put patients at the centre of care, to improve and enhance quality of care and focus on improving outcomes for patients. People will see an improved quality of treatment and choice.'
