Chelmsford City have made their way into the first round of the FA Cup, following a thrilling game at Melbourne Stadium on Monday night.
Beating Carshalton Athletic 3-2, the hosts went two goals ahead in the first half only to be beaten back to 2-2 before half time.
Sam Higgins claimed the win for Chelmsford, with a 79th minute header that puts City through to the first leg of the FA Cup tournament.
Manager Glenn Pennyfather commented: "I said to the players that these opportunities don’t come along too often and all I can ask from them is honesty."
"I’m not suggesting the next round is going to be easy but I’m so pleased for the club, the players and the fans, who were excellent in their support for us again tonight.”
