Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford has announced a £12 million funding boost this week that will enable them to offer a further 540 full time student places this September.
The funding, which comes as part of a £270 million university modernisation fund, will support new students this September, kick off projects to redevelop the university and allow them to re-open a number of courses previously withdrawn.
Vice-chancellor Professor Micahel Thorne commented: “This news is particularly welcome as we have had to cap student numbers despite a huge increase in the volume of student applications we have received. We predict these additional places will be taken up very quickly in the current environment."
