Our first time at Il Palazzo and we absolutely loved it. We were able to sit outside which is great, the service was outstanding even though it was full and the food was absolutely delicious. Great for the whole family We will definitely be back.

First visit , nice ambiance, staff friendly and good service we had the prawn cocktail ( coppa gamberetti ) the prawns were very watery and tasteless .the main s were very good ,

Went last night, a Friday. Service was second to none, food was amazing, we'd been recommended the restaurant by friends and I will be recommending to more! Absolutely loved it. Between us we had seabass, seafoods pasta, calzone and scallops. As was said, exceeded expectations. Thank you.

What a lovely restaurant, lovely food, lovely staff and Covid-Safe!
Six of us celebrated my daughter's 18th here last night as a surprise for her and the staff went out of their way to make it special!
It was an hour's drive for us as not from the area but we will definitely visit again.We chose the restaurant amongst other ones in the area due to the variety on their menu and having gluten free options if needed.
The food was absolutely delicious, service fantastic and the restaurant had a wonderful ambience about it.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Il Palazzo and your lovely regular customers who gave my daughter, Bonnie a bottle of wine 🍾😘
Look forward to visiting again in the near future!

The meat pizzas were great! Veg pizza could have done with some more flavour, as it was quite bland. Lovely salmon main too. Really good choice on the menu. Bit of a shame we weren't given a kids menu as soon as we sat down, but aside from this the service was good. Really clean and safe.

Visited recently as a party of 5. Although midweek it was still relatively busy. Service was attentive but not intrusive. All courses were excellent and drinks reasonably priced. There is a nice relaxed feel to this restaurant which always ensures an enjoyable experience.

We stumbled in on this place entirely by accident and didn't regret it. Really good quality Italian food with one of the best red wines I've had and excellent service. The atmosphere is also very warm and welcoming.

We were looking for a Covid Safe small restaurant for lunch, we had popped into Chelmsford to do a bit of shopping, this restaurant is well worth the 5 min walk (head towards and just past the railway station, as you leave the shopping areas) , for authentic, tasty, fresh Italian food and exceptional service.
Reasonably priced with a vast range of dishes available, including stone baked pizzas, pastas and regional Italian favourites, there really is something to suit everyone. A smart small restaurant for any occasion, with service that you could never achieve in the chain restaurants they’re competing with. Support a small business, and delight your senses, 5* service, exceptionally clean, Covid safe, friendly welcoming waiter, incredible fresh food, lovely ambience, hidden gem. I visited with my wife tonight and shared delicious grilled Sardines and Panini starters, Lobster Taglietelle and Porchetta mains followed by a shared Cheesecake dessert all of this accompanied by a bottle of Gavi Di Gavi and as I said delicious. The only thing that could have been better for us was the music. The bill including tip £95
