The Winter Olympics 2014 will be held from 7th-23rd February 2014.
Although there is no official representation going out to Sochi from Cheltenham, the Twinning Officer, Annette Wright would love to hear from any local person who will be attending the games.
She added: “We want to hear if any Cheltenham residents or businesses are attending and bring them all together to celebrate this unique occasion with Cheltenham Twinning Association. We’re hoping anyone attending will be able to take some pictures so the memories can be brought back to Cheltenham.”
It is proposed that the send-off celebration take place in the week beginning 3rd February, at the Municipal Offices, in the Mayor’s Parlour.
