Cheltenham Borough Council’s Sport Play Development teams have created a great programme to keep children entertained, fit and happy.
The programme runs throughout July and August and booking lines are now open. There is a wide variety of sports and activities in which children can partake such as: tennis, dodgebally, uni-hockey, archery, street dance and much much more.
Apart from sport there are also activities on off such as: circus skills, dance and craft sessions. There will also be excursions to CotswoldWildlifePark, Bristol Aquarium and Cadbury World.
Free play activities and street games have been arranged to take place in local Cheltenham parks.
Sports Development Officer for Cheltenham Borough Council,Tom Sparks, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer such an exciting, varied programme once again for young people in Cheltenham. We have a huge menu of activities for people to choose from including sports coaching sessions, fun games and action packed day trips to some really great places. The sport and play development teams have linked up to offer a ‘summer finale day’ which will include bell boating on Pittville lake and archery competitions. A great way to round off the summer holidays, we recommend booking early so to not miss out.”
Cllr Rowena Hay, Cabinet Member for Sport and Culture, added: ‘’A lot of work has gone into organising an action-packed programme for the summer holidays which I am sure our local children are going to love. The activities are always popular and this year, there is even more fun to be had.’’
