The new owner of these car parks is Skanska so all council signs are being removed. As the land will be owned by them they will decide how the land will be used but it is understood that Skanska’s intention is to continue to operate it as a car park until further development.
This move is all part of the intended transformation of North Place and Portland Street car parks. The Council’s scheme is ultimately to offer affordable housing, a multi-storey car park, a public square and a food store.
If you would like to know more about the new developments please visit Cheltenham Borough Council website.
