A week-long campaign, Positive Living, starts this week with advice on securing your home against burglary and fire risk as well as getting support from community groups.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s mobile information unit will be based on Cheltenham High Street all this week, handing out the new guide with advice on coping with the effects of burglary and anti-social behaviour. It also offers advice on how to connect positively to your community e.g. neighbourhood watch schemes.
There has been a rise in burglaries in Cheltenham recently and Gloucestershire Police are keen that people make their homes as safe and protected as possible.
The run up to Halloween and Bonfire night can often be a time when vulnerable adults in particular can be at risk in their home. Many local support organisations are involved to ensure everyone feels safe as dark nights draw in.
Visit the mobile information unit for advice and guidance on many areas including police issues, housing and relevant voluntary groups. The guide is also available to download.
