Spring is on the way so Cheltenham Borough Council would like to thank those who use the scheme and to remind residents that for £36 per year (paid in advance) they still sign up for the brown wheeled bin scheme. The renewal fee is then £34 per year.
The brown bins hold 240 litres of garden waste such as hedge, shrub and grass cuttings, windfall fruit, weeds, twigs, bark, plants and flowers, and are emptied fortnightly.
To find out how to sign up to the scheme and for more information simply visit the council’s website at www.cheltenham.gov.uk/waste, email gardenwaste@cheltenham.gov.uk or call 01242 262626.
NB: The brown bin scheme is entirely optional. Residents can always take their garden waste to the Swindon Road recycling centre or compost it at home.
