The Museum houses collections of vintage cars, classic cars, motorcycles, caravans and many original enamel signs. A large snapshot of motoring history is displayed through seven showrooms, covering over 7500sq ft.
Inside the Mill Gallery, visitors can view a number of noteworthy vehicles, motoring memorabilia and one special half-scale replica of the late-1920s Austin 7 yellow convertible, better known as Brum. As of 2012, the Cotswold Motoring Museum plays host to the 21st anniversary of the BBC favourite. The museum was featured on most episodes of the TV show, with Brum starting and ending his adventures in the same way – amongst the other cars in the museum, as you can find him today.
The Blacksmiths section of the museum illustrates the move from the power of horses to the horsepower of cars. Windrush Alley takes a street view of transport such as the Penny-Farthing and the Boneshaker, as well as the birth of motorsport. The story of Bourton-on-the-Water’s own pioneer mechanic, and the lives of many who also opened up small country garages, are told in the Jack Lakes Garage exhibition. The Paved Paradise delves into nostalgia and commemorates the colours and shapes of the 1960s and 70s. The Guest Car Gallery brings new exhibitions in. Previous displays include ‘Wallace and Gromit and the Revenge of the Were-Rabbit’, ‘Quadrophenia’, and have recently presented ‘Racing Hero’ with James Hunt’s last F1 car.
The Cotswold Motoring Museum also has a large selection of pedal toys, model kits and other small toys. From Scalextric to sledges and skittle-sets, you will be driven back to your childhood.
Take a piece of the museum home with you and visit the gift shop. The Motoring Museum holds all sorts of memorabilia and souvenirs of both the museum and Brum.

The museum is owned by the Civil Services Motoring Association Ltd (CSMA). The CSMA Club is an organisation that has been running since 1923 and now has over 290,000 members.
