Chester FC are set to welcome the 1st Battalion Royal Welsh regiment on Saturday as the club prepare to take on Mossley in the Evo-Stik First Division North.
The Battalion are currently based at the Dale Barracks in Chester, and the club wanted to demonstrate it's commitment to embracing the Community by inviting a representation of troops to Saturday's game, which has been designated as an Armed Forces Day, and there will also be a collection for the Poppy Appeal at the game.
Media Officer Jeff Banks, said, "We're delighted to have the Royal Welsh coming to Saturday's game as we approach Remembrance. The regiment returned from a tour of Afghanistan in May this year, and I'm sure the fans will give the soldiers a heroes’ welcome."
The soldiers will be providing a Guard of Honour at the game as the players come out on to the pitch prior to kick off.
