The aim being to raise £50,000 in just 20 days The appeal Committee has set up the club as a ‘Not for Profit Community Interest Company’.
Brendan Oldfield, a Freemason in Chester proposed to a committee representing 15 Masonic Lodges meeting in Chester that a donation should be made to help the basketball club. Brendan comments “I am delighted that the committee supported the proposal. It shows that Freemasons are not only supporting Charities in the Community but also participating in Community projects”.
The target of £50,000 has been met, demonstrating that even in these difficult times, support for community involvement is more important than ever.
