Finance provider LDF, launched a Christmas card competition in November, inviting local Primary Schools across Chester and North Wales to design their annual company Christmas card.
There were two age categories, 3-6 and 7-11 years, 165 children entered the competition, from which LDF selected three finalists from each age category and invited them to an evening at Winter Wonderland concluding with a presentation crowning the winner.
The overall winner was Hannah Smith, aged 11 from Ysgol Bryn Coch, “The winning design not only captured the spirit of Christmas, but LDF as a business” said Paul Randall, Education Manager, LDF. “We had a fantastic response from schools across Chester and North Wales, with some wonderfully creative entries. It was great to see such a high standard of work on the cards that were sent in, from all the age groups.
Last night was a fantastic evening for the children and it was a delight to see how much all the finalists enjoyed themselves. Everyone at Winter Wonderland did an amazing job looking after the children and their families and made it a magical evening for everyone.”
Each runner up received an evening at Winter Wonderland with their families, including Dine with Blu, MBNA Ice Skating and a visit to the Matalan Grotto, as well as chocolate treats and a set of Christmas cards with each of their designs on to give to their family and friends.
