Chester’s most popular bar and hotel, The Commercial, has announced details of the first in a series of 18 band nights as part of its Summer of Music.
Following the success of a handful of live gigs performed in The Commercial’s historic courtyard last year, the events team has booked a string of homegrown talent from Me & Deboe and The Roddai, to Shy & The Fight and My Eleventh Toe to entertain locals and visitors alike over the coming months.
Explains Rebecca Davies, general manager at The Commercial: “We had an incredible response to last year’s gig nights - the whole place came alive as soon as the bands started to play - so we wanted to create something even bigger and better this summer.
“Our Summer of Music features a real mix of genres from reggae to ska through to acoustic folk and indie rock. Our unique location in Chester enables us to create the perfect outdoor stage for live music. Everyone is welcome and entry is free - there’s nothing quite like live music to bring people together.”
