Ten Years ago Etta Cohen met regularly with a small group professional women to meet and share experiences. Today ‘Forward Ladies’ (the networking group she founded) is one of the largest womens networking and business support organisations supporting over 12,000 women across areas of the UK including the Merseyside and Manchester area.
“Forward Ladies is committed to supporting members during the current economic climate, with training, business support and networking opportunities” said Etta. “Our members also support each other with business advice to help them overcome difficulties and grow their businesses, and we are delighted to work with a number of business partners to contribute to the regional economy and create employment opportunities .”
Forward ladies have partnered with leading Chester Legal Firm Hillyer Mckeown for their forthcoming ‘Business Surgery’ event to be held in Chester at Murlain House on Wednesday 20th October from 6pm to 8pm. The event will offer business women the opportunity to meet their team of specialist solicitors and to obtain expert advice on queries in the following areas; Employment, Dispute Resolution, Corporate, Intellectual Property and Commercial Property… all whilst enjoying a glass of wine and networking with other like minded business owners!
Lisa Benskin, Head of Dispute Resolution at Hillyer McKeown said “We are delighted to be hosting this event in conjunction with Forward Ladies. Providing support and information for local female business owners is something we’re passionate about”. Lisa continued, “In our experience we often find that in the early stages running a business, owners fail to seek legal advice as they are concerned about the cost. This event is designed to answer those questions free of charge and help the attendees to move forward with the development of their business”.
