With offices including Chester and Wrexham, Walker Smith Way, is the latest company to sign up in support of a charity event being held in Chester next month to raise funds for children’s charity, Empowering Youth Foundation (EYF).
The Champagne Reception and Charity Auction, hosted by local PR and Marketing company, Zebra, is taking place at The Rectory on 24 March 2011.
With auction items including a signed and framed photograph of golfing legend, Jack Nicklaus, an unique Zebra wood carving, and a chauffeur-driven Vintage Mustang Experience, as well as many other items and a raffle, the event looks set to be an exciting night.
Commented Clara Hughes, Director of Zebra: “We are thrilled that Walker Smith Way has put its support behind our charity event. We have invited many businesses from the Chester and Wrexham area and we are looking forward to an enjoyable and successful evening. I have been involved with EYF since the charity set up three years ago and in that time I have witnessed some of the fantastic work it does and seen first-hand the results. They seemed an obvious choice to benefit from my event and the money raised from the Charity Auction will all go directly towards introducing programmes in Chester and Wrexham this year.”
Marketing Manager Holly Nelson said: “Walker Smith Way enjoy close links with local communities and charities, and are committed to supporting them wherever possible. We know this will be a fantastic fundraising event for EYF.”
Empowering Youth Foundation (EYF) is a registered charity which teaches life skills to youth through the medium of sport, in particular golf. EYF was established in 2008 and has successfully reached more than 3,000 youth since its start. As demand for the life skills programmes has increased, EYF has begun to introduce programmes into more locations.
