The Chatsworth Road Festival celebrates life on Chatsworth Road, with 9 days of entertainment and activities. The festival which runs from the 1st to the 9th October has brought together the local community and businesses to celebrate the area where they work and live.
Chesterfield newest festival’s line up is diverse, reflecting the exciting mix of businesses and community groups on Chatsworth Road. Events range from a food festival to a beer festival and from live music and entertainment to workshops, talks and exhibitions.
Deirdre Gage, Chair of the Chatsworth Road Festival and owner of Created Gallery said “We are delighted to be bringing together businesses and the local community to celebrate our area and we look forward to welcoming visitors to the festival from near and far.”
Paul Chapman of S40 Local and member of the organising committee said "Our area has experienced an increased sense of community along Chatsworth Road. With the opening of the St Thomas‘ Church Centre, developments by the Blue Deer Group (131 and the Hanger), the ground swell created by Destination Chesterfield and the success of local clubs and societies, such as the Champagne Knitters at Mes Amis, it feels like a good time to celebrate Chatsworth Road.
Full details of the festival will be published in a special festival edition of S40 Local and once all events are confirmed will be online at www.chatsworthroadfestival.wordpress.com. The latest updates are also available on twitter @chatsrdfestival and Facebook
