Throughout this week from Friday 22nd until Thursday 28th June you can enjoy an assortment of art, film, fashion, hair and beauty shows and exhibitions courtesy of the very talented students at Chesterfield College.
Beginning on Friday 22nd June, you can watch the talented actors, singers and dancers perform in the 'Arts in the Market Festival'.
If you currently work in the creative industry, then this is an ideal opportunity to see the next generation of creative minds at the Arts and Design Exhibition which will be viewable on the evening of the 22nd June and then all day from the Monday 25th until Thursday 28th June.
On Monday 25th June the Level 2 Performing Arts students will be performing 'A Night Out' by Harold Pinter in the Recital Room Theatre, at both 2pm and 7pm, if you would like tickets for this performance then please ring 01246 500 635. Also on Monday the Media students will be premiering a special selection of their very own films at the B2Net stadium from 7pm.
The annual Fashion, Hair and Beauty Show will take place on Tuesday 26th June at 7pm and Wednesday 27th at both 2pm and 7pm at The Winding Wheel Theatre, Chesterfield. Fashion students will showcase their designs inspired by different themes, including ' Art Deco, the Hippy movement, Great Expectations and Spanish Matadors! You can also look forward to hair styles and exaggerated wig designs from the Hair and Beauty students' who have taken inspiration from 1970 Afro-Caribbean images and current trends. To end the festival on a dramatic note, the Level 3 Performing Arts students will show their acting talent with a performance of 'Red Noses' by Peter Barnes in the Recital Room theatre at 2pm and 7pm. Again, for tickets please get in touch on 01246 500 635.
