Entrepreneurial women in and around Chesterfield will be given the opportunity to boost their business and build new contacts when a brand new Women in Business Network (WIBN) launches later this month, on Tuesday 29th May at Casa Hotel.
The Women in Business Network is an organisation created for either self-employed or employed women, by women who’ve experienced and grown their own business in this way. The meetings take place once per month and facilitate introductions and discussions for members to gain new clients via word of mouth – known to be the very best way to gain new business.
Local businesswoman Louise Cutting, will be launching the first meeting and says “The recent recession has been hard for virtually all companies, large and small so it’s really important to think smart about how to promote and grow your business in a cost effective way. Word of mouth is repeatedly proven to be the most effective and trusted way to gain new customers, which makes our network a fantastic way to raise your profile and expand your business when others are in decline”.
Louise decided to launch her own WIBN groups after attending other meetings to promote her Travel Business. She says “I went out to few different networking events, but it can feel quite intimidating as a woman to attend them on your own - they can often be very male dominated.”
The Women in Business Network launched in 2005 and now have almost 80 groups running throughout the UK each month. Each group allows one member per profession, to ensure that members aren’t in competition with each other.
