The Last game of the season was all about Jack Lester and making sure everybody gave him a send off that he deserved. Cook made him Captain as a tribute to thank him for all he has done for the Club. He played upfront partnering Marc Richards in a 4-4-2 formation.

The Crowd were really up for this game, they wanted to say farewell to Jack Lester whose been an absolute legend since he joined the Spireites. In the 14th minute he received a standing ovation as the fans paid tribute to their number 14.

Jay O'Shea opened the scoring, he picked the ball up on the left and hit a thunderbolt of a shot from distance, giving their keeper no chance.

On the half hour mark, a well taken free-Kick was met by Richards who headed home to make it 2-0. He then displayed his T-Shirt which he had made himself, with a message for Jack Lester.

Four minutes later the moment the fans had been hoping for, Lester was brought down by Danny Coles, a massive cheer went up it had been over a year since they last had a penalty awarded in a league match. He stepped up to take the penalty, there was a lot of pressure on him, he had missed his last 3 penalties and had vowed never to take one again. He calmly chipped it past the keeper, the place erupted. He went over to celebrate with his number 1 fan Zoe.

H.T. 3-0.

In the 59th minute Jack Lester scored to make it 4-0, after a lovely through ball from O'Shea, he calmly slotted the ball home. The crowd again were on their feet to celebrate another goal from Lester. He didn't do much of a celebration, he wanted to run over to his family, but he was in agony with cramp, Richards jumped on his back, but was politely told to get off.

Everyone was hoping he would finish off with an hat-trick, but with 15 minutes to go he went off, a lot of fans couldn't believe Cook had taken him off, little did they know it was Jack that had signalled that he needed to come off, he had given everything and he had nothing more to give. The crowd were again on their feet, to give their hero a big deserved round of applause, this would be the last time they would see their hero play for their beloved Spireites.

F.T. 4-0

The team did a lap of honour with Jack following behind to say goodbye to the fans. What an amazing atmosphere, anyone would have thought we had won the League, he got the send off he deserved.

Stand Up said:'He won and scored a penalty, the legend signed off as he started, thanks Jack, great team performance too, onwards and upwards next season.'

On Sunday night at The Player of the Year Awards Jack Lester was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award. This was to recognise Jack's immense contribution over the last six years, scoring 94 goals in all competitions.

He again received a standing ovation, he talked about the morning of the match talking to his wife: 'I've got a feeling I'm going to win a penalty today, and I'm going to dink it past the keeper.' She replied: why are you telling me you know i don't understand football.'

He mentioned that before he took the penalty that Mark Randall went around the pitch telling everyone how Lester was going to take the penalty, luckily for Jack the keeper didn't hear him.

Jack had found it all very overwhelming and couldn't thank all the fans enough for the send off he received.

Take care Jack thanks for all the great memories you have given us over the last 6 years. You will be missed by all the fans, Jack Lester A Real True Legend.
