Kids N Cancer was founded in 2010 to raise funds to help save the lives of sick children that have been diagnosed with life threatening tumours. Kids N Cancer help send these sick children and their families to America for life saving treatment Proton Therapy that is not available in the UK.
Once these children have been accepted for Proton Therapy, they then have to endure 3 months of treatment in a foreign country and very often with only one parent. Families are separated and money is limited, as parents often have to give up work to care for their child 24/7.
THANKFULLY… Once the treatment is completed the success rate of Proton Therapy is 83% and children can make a complete recovery.
