Enjoy the World Cup, Enjoy a Drink ... but do it responsibly
That’s the message from West Wiltshire Police
The World Cup has finally arrived and we all like to celebrate with a drink or two
However, Police in Chippenham, Trowbridge and West Wiltshire are asking all football fans to drink sensibly and avoid any conflict and confrontation.
The following request is from Superintendent Nick Ashley
“The onus is on public safety to enable law-abiding people to go to pubs to watch the matches in safety and for the streets to be safe.”
Any person who gets involved in violent incidents may be banned from town centres.
