Cirencester is expected to packed with revellers this weekend as thousands are likely to descend upon our town for the widely anticipated Phoenix Festival.
This weekend on the 29th and 30th June, much of Abbey Grounds will be taken up with festival-goers as the Phoenix Festival takes place. This FREE event will include live bands ALL weekend, as well as:
Stalls
Paint Balling
Childrens Party Area
Decimal Skate Ramp
Circus skills workshops
Food Village
Human Inflatable football table
Free Running demos by FIDO
Stilt walkers
African Drumming
Gladiator Joust
Bouncy Castle
Henna Tattoo's
Rodeo
And fully stocked bars including a real ale bar, champagne and cocktail bar...
................Not to mention a HUGE stage full of great live music and other acts...!
Start time for both days is around midday and the finish time is 9:15pm with the headlining bands taking to the stage at 8:30pm.
The festival area has been fenced off as, for health and safety reasons, the organisers need to monitor how many people are going in and out of the event. There will be one entrance point to the event and a maximum of 5000 allowed within the arena at any time.
The festival has been made possible via support from Bromford and Cirencester Town Council as well as through donations from local businesses and charitable grants. It is set to be Cirencesters answer to Glastonbury Festival but without the mud..!
Black Jack Street is also planning events to compliment the festival and the street will be buzzing with more live music and great food throughout the weekend.
Parking will no doubt be difficult in town on the days of the festival but please make sure you do not park illegally.
