Join us for regular weekly classes for all levels and abilities, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Retro solo dances: Swing, Jive, strolls, Rock 'N' Roll and more!

If you enjoy Vintage social dancing events but prefer solo dancing or want to keep fit with uplifting toe tapping music this Dance classes are for you!

You will learn or improve basic footwork with dance sequences and steps of Original Social dances.  With or without dance experience, get more confident with your dancing skills and Freestyle.

In the Charleston class, learn the flapper dances of the 1920's with moves such as the 'josephine baker', scarecrow, propellor as well as the 'swivels' much discussed on Strictly. You'll learn some routines you can take to any vintage dance floor!

In the solo socials class, learn a variety of dances including the easy to follow “Electric Slide” Stroll, the iconic swing solo “Shim Sham” and the rockabilly london stroll, as well as slightly faster pace flick kicks and turns for the Jive and Rock’n’ Roll routines and even have fun with the 60’s “Twist”.

With different music styles including: Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Funk, Rock.

 

Each class will include: Musicality & Keeping Time exercises, space awareness & improvisation skills. Variations of steps and moves will be given.
