It’s going to be a busy few months coming up for the fundraising team here at St Helena Hospice and we’d like to share some of our upcoming events with you.
We’ve just launched our exciting new challenge, SANDMAN, which takes place on Saturday 1st March 2014. This is a hardcore five mile assault course, including a freezing sea swim and 2.5 mile run back to base. Taking place along the Mersea coast, SANDMAN is not a race, it’s a challenge. It’s about facing your fears, and really pushing yourself to your limits. Working in teams of up to 10 people, it’s mind over matter and above all...fun!

Also in March, there’s the Colchester Half Marathon on Sunday 16th. St Helena Hospice has been lucky enough to be chosen as the charity beneficiary, with the proceeds of the race donated to us. We are looking for 100 people who are running the Marathon to join #TEAM100. Runners who are part of #TEAM100 are encouraged to raise £100 for the Hospice.

On 27th January, we will be launching our annual Pier to Pier Walk, which is taking place on Sunday 27th April. This popular, family friendly event is a 7 mile walk from Clacton to Walton Pier, or you have the option to walk there and back for a challenging 14 mile walk.
