Supporting Children In Need This Week:
Unless you've been hibernating, you probably will have noticed it's 'Children in Need' week!
And once again the nation is giving generously to this very popular charity, whilst being entertained or perhaps 'bidding' for a spectacular day or night event to remember for life.
And Corby is getting into the zone aswell with plenty of local fund raising activities, incentives and opportunities for you to help give a child a better life.
Mind you, I think the staff at Lodge Park Sports Centre and Corby East Midlands International Pool have gone a bit mad this year, raising money by doing an endurance fitness frenzy from 3pm on Thursday 17th November right through until 3pm on Friday 18th November. (I'm shattered just thinking about how many crunches, press ups, pull ups they each plan on doing over the 2 days, and that's all before completing a gentle 10.7 mile 'jog' as a finale!
Customers will also have the opportunity to tell (for one pound a time) participating staff members to "drop and give me 20", while other staff will take part in 'class-a-thons', and other endurance tests. All they need is for you to come along over the two days to give your support and donate as much as possible to restore their sanity!

And sticking with the fitness theme, SWAP Activities are offering all Vibrogym sessions from 7.00am - 4.00pm on Friday 18th November for just £5, of which they will donate £1 to Children in Need.
They are also offering 'fingers or toes' painting for just £5 on the day, all of which will be donated to Children in Need.

So please give your support to these and all other Children in Need events in Corby, and have a great week.
Best regards
