The Broons and Oor Wullie are coming to Corby.
Scotland’s favourite cartoon characters from The Sunday Post are coming to Corby for the annual highland fling on Sunday, July 14.
An art exhibition with a range of Broons and Oor Wullie artwork and prints for sale called The Broons Family and Oor Wullie’s Day Trip to Corby will be at the Heritage Centre in High Street, The Old Village Corby.
At the Highland Gathering there will be the traditional piping, drumming and dancing events.
Cartoon characters Oor Wullie, famous for his upturned bucket, his spikey hair and dungarees plus The Broons, will increase the Scottish feel this year.
Corby project Ravenous for Art with support from DC Thomson, are putting the event on.
There will be many images from the cartoons plus the internationally-renown Mary Evans Picture Library will be supplying copies of rare prints from their collection.
Proceeds from the exhibition with go to local children’s charity KidsAid.
