BBC World record attempt in Coventry!

Coundon Hall Park in Coventry is the location for the BBC’s world record attempt of planting 500 trees in just one hour on Saturday 5th December to help create a new native woodland!

As part of BBC’s 'Breathing Places Tree O’clock' the world record will be attempted by volunteer tree planters starting at 11:00am at Coundon Hall Park in Coventry.

The trees will be small bare rooted saplings of a variety of native species and will be planted between the Tamworth Road car park and the Old Hall on the Tamworth Road in Coventry.

Please come along and join in this national event and have fun! Wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear and bring along your spades for digging!

The trees will provide valuable diverse wildlife habitat, contribute to the increasing tree coverage in Coventry and will lock up CO2 as they grow.

For more information, contact Tim Rose, Trees and Woodlands Officer from Coventry City Council on Coventry 024 7683 2347.

Come on Coventry - dig for victory and beat the world record!!!
