Coventry Rugby Club Players Trust Fund launch
Coventry Rugby Club press release – Players Trust Fund
Following the incredible display of generosity and support shown by fans at Coventry’s fixture at the Ricoh Arena last Friday, Coventry Rugby Club have today announced the creation of their Players’ Trust Fund. Both the team and their supporters should be applauded for their actions as, whilst the team put in an outstanding performance, the crowd pulled together to raise over £1,500 for the club.
The club has been astonished by the continuing enquiries from the public as to how they can contribute and can confirm that donations made to the Players’ Trust Fund will go directly towards paying the players. The fund was formed as a result of these enquiries and after a meeting with administrators today, during which it was established that the players’ November wages do not fall under their jurisdiction.

Coaches and players have again shown their ultimate loyalty to the club and its fans by agreeing to play this weekend’s away fixture at Exeter. They hope to bring their loyal fans with them in this new era and look forward to their having their support for the upcoming games.
On behalf of staff, coaches and players, Coventry Rugby Club would like to thank fans, sponsors, the Rugby Football Union, Coventry City Council and the Ricoh Arena for their invaluable support.
