Coventry RFC Limited have issued a press release confirming Coventry Rugby Club have NOT gone into administration!!
Coventry RFC issued the following statement about rumours circulating that the club were in administration:
"It has been brought to our attention that a rumour is being circulated that Coventry RFC Limited went into administration on Friday. We (Coventry RFC) can confirm this rumour is completely untrue."
The statement continues:
"Despite reports in the local press Coventry RFC Limited were not in court last week and are not involved in any way with the case between two former players and an injured third party player. This incident occurred before the present owner's acquired the club and they are given to understand that the matter was referred to insurers at the time. The Company involved was owned and managed by Mr Keith Fairbrother at the time of the incident in 2001."
"Coventry RFC continues to grow from strength to strength. Everyone at the club, from senior management to the playing squad, remain determined to deliver the very best both on and off the pitch for the benefit of supporters and the City alike."
