Digital Embossing adds a touch of luxury and quality to your print, making your marketing material not just a stunning visual experience but also a sensual experience.
Digital Embossing can be used to enhance the majority of coated papers and cards and to all laminated products. It is most effective when applied to thicker materials. The process is post press which means it can be equally effective on Litho and Digital Printed work.
Digital embossing gives a finish which may initially be compared to spot UV varnishing; however, digital embossing is ten times better and because the process is Digital, there is no maximum on order quantities.
Whilst Digital Embossing is applicable to either gloss or matt lamination it is most effective over matt, where the contrast between the laminate and emboss is striking.
Digital Embossing can be specified in two depths:
Low Lift
With Low Lift Emboss the effect is somewhat similar to the very highest high lift spot UV, of course, there are the overwhelming advantages of a pin point accuracy and ability to emboss complex shapes with digital embossing
High Lift
With High Lift Emboss the real creative advantages of Embossing come to the fore. The effectiveness of the embellishment is immediately apparent.
