A Step Closer for Local Radio
in Crewe and Nantwich
From Monday 21st November RedShift Radio are back on 87.7FM with their second 28-day broadcast of the year.
RedShift Radio, part of RedShift Media Services have been broadcasting online since September 2010 and are fast becoming a household name across Crewe, Nantwich and surrounding towns.
Living up to their motto of “Bringing Communities Together”, the RedShift Radio team of over 50 dedicated volunteers present a broad range of shows appealing to all. From Toddler Talk and Grey Natter to Health & Healing and Charities Today, the two-hour radio shows are full of chat with interesting and inspiring guests, local news, travel and weather.
Children and young people are included in the programming and schools are invited to hire the studio for between six and 12 weeks to learn how to produce and present their very own radio programmes! Schools taking part this term and throughout the 87.7FM broadcast are: Brine Leas, Shavington High, Malbank Stapley Broad Lane and Highfields in Nantwich.
RedShift Radio have formed some strong partnerships with local organisations. On home match days at the Weaver Stadium, RedShift presenters commentate live on the Nantwich Town football matches and travel to away games as the official media partner to the club.
The relationships with local businesses continue to develop with strength and Dr Gav and Bizzy Lizzy hosting the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Awards on 2nd December at Crewe Hall. It was at the 2010 awards that Dr Gavin Hammond, co-founder of RedShift himself won the Young Business Person of the Year Award and he urges other businesses to enter.
