All bins are collected fortnightly and you only need to remember one collection day. Recycling and garden bins will be emptied one week and the other non-recyclable waste bin on the alternate week
Normal collection day will continue until the 9th of May (inclusive of bank holidays). Your new collection day after the 9th of May could be different to your current collection.
If you are unsure of your new collection day you can check it online using the Councils My collection day HERE.
Cheshire East Council is to host a series of roadshows, designed to tell people more about the recycling and waste transformation in the area.
The authority recently launched the ‘Think Silver, Think Recycling’ campaign, which will allow residents to use the silver bin for all of their recycling.
The roadshows will take place in the following areas:
Remember:
Put your bin at the edge of your property, adjacent to the public highway, for collection
Ensure the lid is closed and your bin is out for 7am on your collection day
Return your bin to your property as soon as reasonably possible after collections have been made
Additional household waste, garden waste or recycling, left next to the bin, will not be collected
If you are elderly or disabled and will have difficulty moving the bins, please contact the Council on on 0300 123 5011 to be considered for an assisted collection service.
