The search begins for the best companies in Croydon as South London Business launches the business awards in the borough.
The awards are organised by South London Business, in association with Barclays, and have 11 categories up for grabs, ranging from Best International Business to Best New Business , with top sponsors already on board to support the awards, including headline sponsors Barclays, Owaddally and King, Lloyds, Zurich Insurance, Federation of Small Businesses, Wing Yip, Fairfield Halls, Southern Railway and Croydon Park Hotel.

The Croydon Business Awards 2012 will be officially launched on Thursday 19 January at Fairfield Halls in their foyer area and will culminate with a Gala Awards Ceremony at the Arnhem Gallery in Fairfield Halls on 2 May. All finalists will be automatically entered to represent Croydon in the annual South London Business Awards, to be held in June 2012.

Entry of the awards is free and can be done online at www.croydonbusinessawards.co.uk or businesses can enter on the night of the launch, where they will also have the chance to meet the sponsors and judges, network with other businesses and enjoy wine and canapés.
